If you have a stock converter and no tuning on an A6-A8-A10 Transmission, and you put in a stall converter in. YES you need custom programming to avoid excessive wear on your new converter clutch. Stock partially slips (intentionally) this will ruin a new converter.
You can do this multiple ways
#1 If you own an MPVI/RTD device
simply read your tune file, send it to support@anonymouscalibrations.com
and fill out the liability waiver at the bottom of any webpage here.
#2 Mail-in or drop off service.
All of our supported vehicles we have the ability to bench flash an ECM/TCM without the vehicle being here. You can remove the module from the vehicle and send it in. or bring it in yourself.
#3 Trailer the vehicle to us, we will read the file and build a base map for you to start and run the vehicle. This way we can look over the vehicle with you and point out anything obvious while the vehicle is here. You will need to call ahead to make sure we have the time to get this done for you.
Sometimes, pictures will tell the story for us. Click here to learn more.
Yes! When you have a "flex fuel" calibration, It means just that. You can use straight gasoline, or run 50/50 or even a full tank of E85 ( Provided your fuel system will support your modifications)
Early 0411 Flex fuel O/S with power adder I do NOT recommend doing this unless its for casual driving. Tables are limited on the older ECU and can result in engine damage.
- Custom tunes are tailored to your specific vehicle while data logging with a wideband (like our Ballenger Wideband O2 kits) to make sure your vehicle is properly calibrated.
- Canned tuning is a version of vehicle calibrating where a handful of tunes we have developed over the years are used create a moderate, but effective flash file that will give you a little extra kick. These tunes are usually a bit more conservative for equipment safety and longevity. AC is not responsible for misuse of the supplied canned tunes. These tunes are generally for stock or lightly modified vehicles. Example: aftermarket cold air intakes, aftermarket or modified OEM-based intake manifolds, aftermarket or modified OEM-based throttle bodies, headers, and exhaust. (There is no required modification, or combination of modifications required for canned tuning).
